Accredited e-training "Good Governance at the Local Level"

The Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) organizes e-training on "Good Governance at the Local Level". It is intended for decision makers and employees in towns and municipalities with the aim to provide support to local self-governments by strengthening their capacities to adopt and implement the principles of good governance in everyday practice: efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, accountability, rule of law, participation, equality, and non-discrimination.

The start of the training is scheduled for Monday, October 7 and will last for seven weeks - until Friday, November 22, 2019. The training is carried out within the framework of the Project "Improving Good Governance at the Local Level", implemented through the Program "Support of the Swiss Government to the Development of Municipalities through Improvement of Good Governance and Social Inclusion - Swiss PRO", implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in partnership with the SCTM.

E-training is implemented as an accredited program within the Sector Program of Continuous Professional Development of Employees in Local Self-Government Units for 2019, which is part of the General Program of Training of Employees in Local Self-Government Units for 2019, adopted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. For additional information, we enclose an Excerpt from the Sector Program on e-Training "Good Governance". Participants who successfully complete this training, i.e. answer to the tests and tasks within each of the 13 lessons, will be issued an official certificate by the SCTM in cooperation with the National Academy of Public Administration.

An initial one-day gathering will be organized for e-training participants to provide them with the basic information on the training program, mentors, and how to use the SCTM e-Learning Platform. The initial meeting will be held in Belgrade on Tuesday, October 1st, starting at 11 a.m. at Hotel "M", 56a Bulevar oslobodjenja.
