The last two-day workshop on preparation and presentation of the Draft Local plan for Waste Management in Municipality of Kula was organized on October 31 in Ceremonial Hall of Assembly of the Municipality of Kula, as part of the support package that this municipality received from Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM).
Workshop was attended by representatives of public utility companies and institutions from the territory of municipality of Kula, secretaries of local communities and members of local self-government, who were presented with a Draft Local plan for Waste Management in Municipality of Kula.
Jelena Čepić, associate for protection of environment in municipality of Kula, pointed out that the Draft Local plan is harmonized with the waste management program of the Republic of Serbia, and the finalization of the Plan is expected by the end of the year.
"Members of the working group drafting the Local plan for Waste Management in the municipality of Kula presented a Draft of this Plan, where the interested public in order to improve the Plan is consulted, so that it would be truly constructive and usable in the coming period," added Jelena Čepić.
Support in the development of the Local plan for Waste Management is provided by SCTM within the project "Sustainable and inclusive services at the local level", financed by the Government of Sweden.
