Public competition for local self-government units on financing of civil society organizations

The project Platform for Responsible Public Finance Management implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Serbia, financed by the Government of Sweden (SIDA), will work to strengthen partnerships between local self-government units (LS) and civil society through the development of a more transparent approach to financing civil society organizations (CSOs) from the LS budget, in line with local needs. The project will also contribute to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of the Development Agenda 2030. The objectives of sustainable development are a universal call for action to eradicate poverty, protect the environment and ensure peace and prosperity for all.

We call local self-government units to apply for participation in the project. In total five (5) local self-government units will be selected for support in the development of more transparent mechanisms for allocating funds for financing CSO projects. For each selected local self-government unit 66,000 USD of donor funds have been provided with mandatory co-financing by municipality or town.
