The Development of the Local Action Plan for Social Inclusion of Roma in Krusevac
Introductory workshop for the preparation of the Local Action Plan for Social Inclusion of Roma in the territory of the Town of Krusevac for the period from 2020 to 2022 was held at the Town Administration in Krusevac on January 24. Krusevac is among 10 local self-governments in Serbia supported by the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) in drafting a Local Action Plan for Roma Inclusion for a two-year period.
With this workshop, the process of drafting this important document began and will last 6 months, according to Dejan Markovic, Advisor for Social Inclusion at the SCTM.
"The Local Action Plan for Roma Inclusion is a cross-sectoral local action plan, and within the working group all competent institutions will be involved, which will, among other things, be in charge of implementing the National Roma Inclusion Strategy, which runs from 2016 to 2025", said Dejan Markovic.
On behalf of the Town of Krusevac, the attendees were greeted by Mayor Jasmina Palurovic who spoke about numerous implemented projects related to the improvement of the position of Roma in Krusevac.
