The winners of the "Different from Others" Media Competition Awarded

The Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) awarded the winners of the Seventh Media Competition "Different from Others". The competition lasted from April 15 to October 15, 2019, and the decision on the best contributions was made by editors of the leading media outlets: Veselin Simonović (Blic), Srđan Bošković (Radio Beograd), Nada Gogić (RTS), Zoran Sekulić (Fonet) and Vladan Samardžić (Večernje novosti).

SCTM Secretary General Djordje Stanicic thanked the Government of Sweden for supporting the implementation of the competition.

"In announcing the competition, we wanted affirmative texts about the work of our members, but we did not run away from the critical ones, which point out the omissions that should be eliminated", Stanicic said, emphasizing that "there are quality journalists in Serbia for local topics".

The winners of the competition are:

Milica Alavanja (Naša Balkan TV, production Vojvođanska zelena inicijativa), with the story "Don't Take Our Life!"

Ruža Jeremić Turudić (RTS), with "How "Duboko (Deep)" Becomes Shallow"

Borislav Despotović and Tamara Trninić (RTV), with the story "Life Online - eGovernment"

Gordana Nešović (Radio Beograd 1), with story "Juvenile Marriages"

Predrag Todorović (TV Centar), with story by "Amaro Kher - Our Home"

This activity was implemented by the SCTM as part of the Program "Support to Local Governments in Serbia on the Road to the EU - Second Phase", funded by the Government of Sweden.
