The support package for the establishment or improvement of local mechanisms for the inclusion of Roma has been received by 30 local governments, which include the implementation of activities aimed at improving the implementation of local measures and mechanisms for the inclusion of Roma. The above activities will be a continuation of previous activities of the SCTM in this field, with the aim of further improving the position of Roma at the local level, in accordance with the measures envisaged by the Strategy for the Social Inclusion of Roma in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2022 to 2030.
The project will thus support the formation of new coordination bodies and mobile teams, as well as co-financing the annual operational work plans of mobile teams. Support will also be provided in the development of 20 new local action plans for the social inclusion of Roma, the development and piloting of inter-municipal cooperation models, and the establishment of a mobile team for the inclusion of Roma.
PHASE I - Within the first phase, comprehensive support is provided to 10 local governments in establishing a local coordination body and a mobile team for the inclusion of Roma, developing a new or improving the existing local action plan for the social inclusion of Roma men and women, as well as developing and implementing an operational plan for the mobile team for the inclusion of Roma (with mandatory co-financing of operational plans by the local governments). The following local governments are supported: Vrbas, Vrnjačka Banja, Žabalj, Kanjiža, Kikinda, Novi Beograd, Obrenovac, Požega, Sečanj and Čačak.
PHASE II - Within the second phase, support is provided for the development/improvement of the Local Action Plan for the Social Inclusion of Roma (LAP) and support for the implementation of the Operational Plan of the Mobile Team for Roma Inclusion for 2025.
